The Computer-Based Math Education Summit—10–11 November 2011—The Royal Institution, London

The Computer-Based Math Education Summit brought together an unprecedented cross section of leaders with a stake in math—from industry, technology, government, and education—to answer the question, "In an era of ubiquitous computing, how should we rebuild math education from the ground up, to keep pace with and drive progress in the real world?"

This conference was organized by computerbasedmath.org, a project to build a completely new math curriculum with computer-based computation at its heart—alongside a campaign to refocus math education away from historical hand-calculating techniques and toward relevant and conceptually interesting topics.
